Intermediate level class for people with prior FOIL experience.
This class is ideal for adult recreational Foil fencers, for high school competitors who want to improve their results in the Great Lakes High School Fencing Conference, as well as all age recreational Foil fencers who want to actively compete in USAFencing events.
This will be a 6 week class, classes will be on Thursday evenings from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
September 17th, 24th, and Oct 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd.
Students should wear jeans or sweatpants, a short-sleeved shirt, any kind of cross trainer athletic shoes, and bring something to drink. We do have water & sports drinks available for sale at the fencing club.
The 2026 cost of the class is $210 ($195 if paid by September 7th)
Suitable for all ages, teens & adults, with prior Foil fencing experience.
All necessary fencing equipment will be provided.
You must complete the Trial Membership application with the USA Fencing organization prior to the first class (or on arrival at our Facility). In order for the trial membership to be valid, you MUST select "Northwest Indiana Fencing Club" in the club field.

If a student takes this class and still desires higher skill level fencing we will recommend they take private lessons from Coach Marek. Coach Marek specializes in improving fencers skills as they toward competitive level fencing at any age.
