The Northwest Indiana Fencing Club (NIFC) is a recreational fencing club in St. John IN, teaching Olympic Style Fencing (Ages 6 to 99), while supporting competitive fencers.

Open Fencing is every Monday & Wednesday from 6:30-8:30PM.
We are temporarily CLOSED on Friday,  We will resume with a different Friday format in September.

Olympian, World Cup Medalist, National Champion, former Head Coach for Cambridge University (England) and former Epee Coach at Notre Dame, Coach Marek Stepien (OLY) will be offering Private Lessons & multiple sessions for the Dyer and Schererville Parks Departments.

No experience needed, age 10 - Adult
Fastest of the 3 weapons, fairly easy to learn, Our most popular class has a mix of pre-teens, teens, parents/children and adults taking the class.  Taught by NIFC coaches & volunteers.

Starts AUGUST 18TH (Tuesdays: 6:30-8:30pm) introducing you to EPEE fencing.
Taught by Lauren Reese & Reese Butta
This is the most strategic of the weapons and the only weapon were both fencers can simulanteously score a touch.  No experience necessary, ages 12 & over.

2 Different Age Programs  
 Choose either 7 to 11 years old or 11 to Adult.
We offer programs on Wednesday & Saturday 

No experience necessary.

Starts JULY 30TH and will run 4 weeks (Thursdays: 6:30-8:30pm) building upon skills taught in Novice Saber.

Must be graduate of Saber Beginners' Class or have other Saber experience.

Cost: $120 ($105 if paid before 7/23)
