Club Get Together on August 14
Good news! Even though most of our club's annual social events will be canceled for the remainder of the year, we are currently planning to have a socially-distanced BYOE (Bring Your Own Everything) outdoor get-together in August.
The place is the pavilion in Townline Park in Lake Forest.
The date is Friday, August 14, the time, 6PM.
Townline Park is the large area on Route 60 about half-way between Waukegan Rd. and the tollway, at Academy Drive. There are sports fields (mostly unused these days), a playground for kids, a bike/walking path and the pavilion and picnic tables. Even though it's BYOE, the club will provide some soft drinks and water.
A few caveats:
**Although we are allowed to use the park and pavilion, Lake Forest (as well as local forest preserves) is not taking reservations at this time, so it's first-come, first-served. We think that will probably not be a problem, but no guarantee.
**Restroom facilities will be closed. :-(
**Wearing a mask (except while eating!) is encouraged.
**Should social guidelines change between now and then we will cancel if needed.
