From December 30-January 1, I will again be participating in the Snowdrop
Ultra 55 Hour Race in Sugar Land Memorial Park. My goal is to run,
walk or crawl 100 miles. I am running in honor of a beautiful little
girl I met several years ago named Karsyn Eubank. At the age of 5, and after attending just one day of kindergarten, Karsyn was diagnosed with ALL (acute lymphoblastic leukemia).
As I completed my goal of 100 miles at Snowdrop last year, I received the ribbon strung across the finish line. A month later at a party celebrating her remission, I presented Karsyn that same ribbon, signifying the end of her cancer treatments. However for her family, the worry of relapse will never go away.
I am asking for your prayers
for all the children who have to go through this horrible disease. I
am also asking you to donate to this very important cause. Childhood cancer is extremely underfunded. In the U.S., more children die of childhood cancer than any
other disease —yet all types of childhood cancers combined receive only
4% of the U.S. federal cancer research funding. Please join me in doing all we can to save our children.
Thank you
from the bottom of my heart. I run because I can, for those who can't.
