About Us

Frontier Fiesta
http://www.uh.edu/fiesta/
Frontier Fiesta is the University of Houston's oldest and proudest tradition. Established in 1940, it began as a festival to promote the University of Houston when the University first moved from downtown Houston to its present location.
Despite the many changes in venue and themes and challenges over the years, Frontier Fiesta continues to be a cherished tradition at the University of Houston. Frontier Fiesta celebrates everything that makes the University of Houston important to the Houston community today. The talent and leadership ability of its students, the opportunity to educate Houston's future leaders, and providing scholarship opportunities for deserving students are just a few ways that Fiesta gives back.

Scholarships
Every year, the Frontier Fiesta Association gives scholarships to deserving incoming freshman and current UH students. These scholarships not only reward academic achievement, but also recognize outstanding efforts in community service.

Check out their web site to see all of their activities: Mr. & Ms. Fiesta, the Cook-Off, Concerts, Variety Shows, Carnival Booths and Family Fun Day – which is Saturday, March 22, 2014.
