We are so excited to be co-captains for team #ManOfSteel and to be participating in our 3rd team charity run to raise awareness and funds for blood cancers!  Lace Up for Life (formally Be The Match Walk + Run) is on Saturday September 10, 2016 in Sugarland, Texas and is sponsored by the Gulf Coast Marrow Donor Program working in partnership with Be The Match to help recruit, educate and add donors to the registry and also to support the donor during the donation process.  

Our team is named #ManOfSteel in memory of Rakesh "Rocky" Patel, our very own superhero (4/29/91-12/8/14.) As our team has grown from less than 20 to more than 75, so has our dedication towards raising awareness and funds for a cure.  Our goal for this race is to recruit a 100+ member running team raising $10,000+ and we need your help.  Please consider registering for the national bone marrow registry, donating to our run, or joining our team!  You can be someone's superhero today!

Every 3 minutes, someone in the US is diagnosed with a blood cancer. We hope to raise awareness, raise funds, to honor those who have fought so bravely, and to support those who are still fighting.
