Hope - Courage - Love
Thank you for your support. This is my second year running the Snowdrop 100 as a solo participant running in support for Andrew Ross and the Andrew's Army Jr.'s team fundraising team. The Ross family are dear friends we have had the pleasure of knowing since our daughter, Laurie, started playing youth soccer 8 years ago. While Laurie and the Ross' daughter, Abby, would play soccer on the field, their oldest son Andrew would play up and down the sidelines. Unfortunately, Andrew was diagnosed at the age of 8 with a stage IV pancreatic Neuroendocrine tumor. The cancer originated in the head of his pancreas and by the time Andrew was diagnosed it was already in numerous lymph nodes in his abdomen and near his heart, and had spread to his liver where the tumors are innumerable. This is a rare disease in adults and unheard of in children. Andrew is a fighter, and fights this horrible disease on a daily basis.
The Snowdrop Foundation is dedicated to assisting patients and families at Texas Children’s Cancer Center through funding for continued research to eliminate childhood cancer and scholarships for college bound pediatric cancer patients and survivors.
