The first year I ran the Snowdrop 55-Hour race, Meghan was in a coma when I finished my 100th mile. The next year, she walked the final lap with my relay team. (I personally ran about 36 miles.) This year, I want her to be there to do my 100th mile with me!
So training and fundraising begins now. There are several ways you can help. The first is by donating to the Snowdrop Foundation to help eradicate pediatric cancer. Another is to sign up to volunteer at the event. This race is my favorite in part because of the cause and also because it has the BEST volunteers! The third way you can help is to do some training runs with me. Shorter runs happen during the week, and longer ones will happen on Saturday and Sunday. And finally, encourage a pediatric cancer patient and their family. That is something I believe in. Cancer is isolating, and sometimes knowing you aren't alone can be the difference between a good day and a bad one.
