Hope - Courage - Love
The Snowdrop Foundation raises vital funds for childhood cancer research and college scholarships for those who have been afflicted by childhood cancer. Pediatric cancer disease only receives 4% of national research funding related to the investigation of cures and treatments for cancer, so these funds are vital for those pursuing and in need of cures for these diseases. My daughter was treated for Ewing's sarcoma her entire senior year of high school, and we have met many children and families whose lives have been changed forever by pediatric cancer.
The Ultra 55 is one of the primary fundraising events for Snowdrop. It is a 55 hour relay run December 30 - Jan 1 in honor of the 55 hours of combined surgery effort of three medical heroes who gave everything they had to try to save the life of Chelsey, a pediatric cancer victim. I am participating as a member of one of the fundraising teams running in the relay. This is a difficult time of year to ask for donations, many important causes are doing so, and Christmas bills will be coming due soon, but if you choose to contribute to the efforts to defeat these diseases and to the new hope these young people receive with college scholarships, you may do so through this page (or if you need to make alternate arrangements to do so another time please contact me and we will work together to make it happen).
I am very grateful for all of the support, in so many ways, you have provided to our family and other families who have and will face these challenges. Thank you for making hope for a better future become a reality.
