As a pediatric cancer survivor, it has always been my goal to help fundraise for pediatric cancer research. I am realizing this goal by joining Team Guru Burger this year at the Snowdrop Foundation ULTRA 55 Hour Relay. Over a period of 55 hours, our 10 team members will be running in continuous shifts to raise funds for pediatric cancer research and survivor scholarships. The 55 hours is symbolic of a record-breaking 2/2006 surgery that was performed on Chelsey Campbell, the 15 year old girl who inspired the foundation. Chelsey was in surgery for 27 straight hours with 2 surgeons present for the entirety of the case: 2 surgeons x 27 hours...+ 1 girl fighting this terrible disease = 55. Sadly, Chelsey received her angel's wings in 12/2006. No child should suffer from this disease, and no family should be forced to endure the loss of a child. Please help me raise funds to fight the battle against pediatric cancer.
