Hope - Courage - Love
Over the years, I've trained for several events for causes that touch children and adults with leukemia through Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training Program. This year, I want to up the ante in a BIG way. I am running in support of my friend, Kevin Kline's, Snowdrop Foundation to support all kids with cancer.
Not only am I upping the ante on helping kids with cancer, I'd like to help you join in the fun too! I'm aiming to run my LONGEST distance ever. A distance PR doing one of my least favorite things, running hundreds of loops around a park. To set a distance PR, I'll need to run at least 106 miles, but I'm hoping for somewhere between 150 and 200 miles over the 55 hour period. However, I can't do this without the support of my army of friends and family (including those friends who are like family to me).
I'm setting an aggressive goal of $5000 to help support Snowdrop Foundation. Hopefully with this money we can help make things much easier than it was back in 1949 when my Dad's older brother passed from childhood leukemia, at the age of 4.
Thanks so much for reading and I hope I can count on your support, monetary, moral and maybe even some treats while I'm running in the Houston-area!
