Hope - Courage - Love
I will again be running in the Snowdrop 55 hour ultra race at the end of this year. I am mentally & physically unprepared for this race due to lack of training miles due to injury. Dropping is not an option as I feel that going in unprepared is symbolic to those diagnosed with cancer are also unprepared with their diagnosis.
There are unspoken individuals, some close to me, who have been recently diagnosed with cancer that I will be running for in that regard. I will also be running in celebration of Arda & life long friend from school Kellie Powell!
Kellie & Ziggy have always supported the Snowdrop foundation through donation every year I’ve ran this truly amazing race.
Kellie was diagnosed the Monday after Thanksgiving of last year with Metatastic Melanoma. She underwent emergency Brain discovering massive brain lesions. Just too far developed to save Her. We lost her a few months later on February 25th. I will be running in her memory.
As mention in celebration, I proudly will continue to run in honor of Arda who is now in remission!
Arda was diagnosed with Leukemia (ALL and AML) at the age of 7 and went into remission at age 11. He is now running Cross Country in school, so to make this race truly epic, he will be running with me on my last loop!
Your donation means a lot!
