Each year, SCOPE organizers are grateful to the volunteers for their hard work, dedication, enthusiasm and commitment to promoting an event that raises awareness about colorectal cancer and celebrates survivorship with patients, family members, friends, employees and the entire SCOPE community. This year we will be celebrating our 10th Annual S.C.O.P.E 5K on March 28, 2015. If you are interested in participating in this event as a volunteer, please complete the Volunteer Registration form. Our Volunteer Coordinator will be in contact with you to make sure you receive all of the necessary information that will help make this race a success.

Volunteer Waiver
Please read any waiver carefully. It includes a release of liability and waiver of legal rights and deprives you of the ability to sue certain parties. Do not agree to this document unless you have read and understood it in its entirety. By agreeing electronically, you acknowledge that you have both read and understood the text presented to you as part of the registration process. You also understand and agree that events carry certain inherent dangers and risks which may or may not be readily foreseeable, including without limitation personal injury, property damage or death. Your ability to participate in the event(s) is/are subject to your agreement to the waiver and by agreeing herein, you accept and agree to the terms of the waiver and release agreement. In consideration of acceptance of this entry and my participation in this event, I, the undersigned, accept all risk to my health and assume full and complete responsibility for any injury or accident which may occur during the SCOPE Fun Run or while I am on the premises of this event. I RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS THE SPONSORS AND PROMOTERS OF THIS EVENT, INCLUDING THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS M. D. ANDERSON CANCER CENTER, ITS GOVERNING BOARD,OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND REPRESENTATIVES, AND ALL OTHER PERSONS AND ENTITIES ASSOCIATED WITH THIS EVENT (event parties)FROM ALL CLAIMS AND CAUSES OF ACTION FOR LOSS OF OR DAMAGE TO MY PROPERTY AND FOR ANY OR ALL ILLNESS OR INJURY TO MY PERSON, WHETHER IT BE CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE SPONSORS, PROMOTERS OR OTHERWISE. I give my permission to the Event Parties to use, without compensation, my name, likeness and/or picture for any purpose related to this event or any future events, including the use of any photographs, videotapes,motion pictures, or other recordings of me that are made during the course of this event and including the use of my name, likeness or photograph in a broadcast, newspaper magazine, brochure or other media. I state that I am in proper condition to participate in this event.
