Free the Captives' Freedom Fest and 5K is open to the public as an awareness event on Human Trafficking in Houston. The 5k course is a large, spread out course around Mason Park.  Therefore, we will need plenty of volunteers to make this event a success!  Your time is a huge blessing.

Below you can sign up to volunteer for the 5K as well as for Freedom Fest. On April 11, 2015, our big day starts off with the 5K run and is followed by the festival, where we will have free games and food for everyone. Your help is greatly appreciated! You can sign up for more than one volunteer position. Thank you in advance!

Volunteer Waiver
Please read any waiver carefully. It includes a release of liability and waiver of legal rights and deprives you of the ability to sue certain parties. Do not agree to this document unless you have read and understood it in its entirety. By agreeing electronically, you acknowledge that you have both read and understood the text presented to you as part of the registration process. You also understand and agree that events carry certain inherent dangers and risks which may or may not be readily foreseeable, including without limitation personal injury, property damage or death. Your ability to participate in the event(s) is/are subject to your agreement to the waiver and by agreeing herein, you accept and agree to the terms of the waiver and release agreement. You must be over 18 years of age OR the parent/legal guardian of a minor under 18 years of age OR the legal guardian of an incapacitated and/or mentally challenged person in order to agree to the text below.

Each participant, and parent or guardian of youth participants, must agree to this Waiver for themselves and on behalf of any youth participant. Please read carefully.

Having read this waiver and knowing these facts, and in consideration of your acceptance of my volunteering, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, do waive and release Free the Captives, Free the Captives' Freedom Fest & 5K, the City of Houston and Harris County, Event timers, sponsors and organizers, and their representatives, agents, affiliates, employees and successors from all claims and/or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in Free the Captives' Freedom Fest and 5K (the Event) even though such liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver. I also grant permission to all the foregoing to use any photograph, motion picture, recordings, or any other record of the Event for any legitimate purpose.
