Come out and join us in the Veteran's 5k Fun Run, hosted by the Student Veterans Association of Brazosport College.


The run is dedicated to all Service Members, Veterans and their families for the sacrifices made in defense of this country.



We encourage everyone to dress with a military theme there will also be a kid’s camo face-painting booth.

Opening ceremony will be at 7:30 at the flag pole in front of the College.

The free Kid's Half Mile Race will begin 8 a.m. All children under the age of 12 are encouraged to participate.


The 5K will begin at 8:30 a.m. and all ages are welcome to participate.



Local Veterans will be honored along the course with poster-sized pictured printed with their service photo, rank, and time in service.

If you would like to see your loved one honored please submit a photo and information sva@brazosport.edu. The fee for non-BC students will be $5.

Pre-registration fee of $20 for non-military, $15 for BC students, faculty and staff and, Current Military Members and Veterans (with identification) run free. PRE-REGISTRATION ENDS 11/14/2014!

Day of race registration fee's will be $25 for non-military, $20 BC student, faculty and staff, and Current military member and Veterans run for free. 


Shirts and running bibs will be given to all 5k participants. Ignored to guarantee a shirt on race day registration by the 8th of November is necessary. 

Medals will be given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers for male and female participants in the 5k for the following age groups:

under 13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and above.

The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in the kids run will receive gift cards. 

Join us after the race for BBQ, hosted by the SVA. 

All proceeds will go to the Student Veterans Association to provide Veterans with the support needed to succeed.
