Fort Bend Cares was founded in 2004. The founders, longtime residents of Fort Bend County, identified the growing needs of disadvantaged youth in the County.

It was recognized that there were many existing charitable organizations providing essential services to children and families. These organizations face increasing demands to raise the necessary funds to meet the needs of current and future programs. Fort Bend Cares was created to help provide supplemental funds for these worthy organizations.
