Running Tips to help keep you safe
- Try to get a running partner or 2. There is safety in numbers.

- Leave word with someone where you plan to run and when you expect to return.

- Carry some id.

- Avoid unpopulated areas, deserted streets, and lonely trails, especially avoiding unlighted areas at night.

- Vary the route and the time of day that you run.

- Run against traffic.

- Be especially vigilant at intersections. DO NOT assume the car will stop for you!, even if you are in the crosswalk.

- If you are running after dark or before sunrise, wear reflective clothing and use a headlamp.

- If you wear headphones, leave one out so you are aware of your surroundings.
