Fundraising for The Calpine Foundation
Every 8 minutes, a child in Texas experiences abuse or neglect. Nearly 4,000 children in the Houston area have experienced such life-threatening abuse or neglect that they had to be removed from their homes and placed in foster care. Child Advocates trains everyday people to advocate for the best interests of these children in court so they can find safe, permanent homes as quickly as possible.

Team Calpine is running the 2017 Houston Marathon and Half
Marathon in support of four amazing charities:
the Alzheimer's Association, Citizens for Animal Protection, Child Advocates
and CanCare. All donations to Team
Calpine and its registered participants will go through the Calpine
Foundation. During the registration
process, participants will choose which charity they would like their
fundraising dollars to be distributed to.
The Calpine Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and all
donations to Team Calpine and its participants are tax deductible and will be
distributed to our benefiting charities.
