The second annual Skeeters Buzz Run benefiting the Snowdrop Foundation on August 11, 2013!
This Family Friendly event takes place at Constellation Field, home of the Sugar Land Skeeters! What is more fun than running/walking a 5K? Celebrating Fitness Day at the Skeeters game that evening! Participants will receive a ticket to the 6:00 pm game held the day of the race.
Both the 5K and 1K routes will start at the Skeeters stadium and finish inside! Take a run around the bases and look up to see yourself on the big screen! The event will be video taped. Be sure to watch clips from the event played during the Skeeters game Sunday evening.
Event Details: Participants will receive a ticket to the August 11, 2013, 6:00 pm game, in addition to your race entry. One additional ticket to the 6:00 pm game may be purchased with each registration online (if you need more tickets for your family, please contact race director at terrie.gorney@usa.net). All participants registered by August 9th are guaranteed an event t-shirt. The event will finish inside the stadium and weather permitting, you will be able to take a run around the bases. A race photographer will be on the route and at the finish to capture your winning smile.
After the run/walk, enjoy the post race party with food, drink, and entertainment! The Skeeters "Fast Pitch" game will be available as well as other activities for the kids. Swatson and Moe will be out for the race!
The event is presented by Fort Bend Fit in support of the Snowdrop Foundation. Sponsors include Finish Line Sports, Kolache Factory, Baby Bull Coffee, Raisin Cane, Whole Foods, Evamore, Memorial Hermann, and Texas Childrens Hospital.

Event Day, Sunday, August 11th: Constellation Field, 1 Stadium Drive, Sugar Land, TX 77498. Arrive early. Park in Lot B, off of Hwy 6. Register 6:30am - 7:45am.
The Buzz Run "charity of choice" is the Snowdrop Foundation. Donations are accepted during registration. The Snowdrop Foundation celebrates the hope that one day a cure for all childhood cancers will be found allowing the purity of every child to remain untouched by the devastating diagnosis of cancer. The Foundation is dedicated to assisting patients and families at Texas Children's Cancer Center through funding for continued research to eliminate childhood cancer, and scholorships for college bound pediatric cancer patients and survivors.
