Our 2014 Breast Cancer Awareness Walk & Health Expo on November 8, 2014, will be held at the P.C. Cobb Complex in Dallas, Texas. Last year our team "PHENOMENAL WOMEN POUNDING THE PAVEMENT FOR A CURE" was the "Team who Raised the Most Funds".
Won't you help us to be successful again?
Sisters
Network Dallas is the local chapter of Sisters Network Inc., the only National
African American Breast Cancer Survivorship Organization. Our theme,
6000 Sisters, 6000 Steps for Hope, spotlights the 6000 African American Women
who lose their fight with breast cancer in the United States each year.
Breast Cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths among African
American women. Sisters Network Inc. is a national organization on a
mission to bring attention to the devastating impact of breast cancer on the
African American community. As part of this organization, Sisters Network
Dallas asks you to work with us to enhance our capacity to reach more women and
men in DFW with the proven life saving message of early detection and behaviors
that promote breast health.
Proceeds
from the Sisters Network Dallas Breast Cancer Walk and Expo 2014 will be used
to support breast cancer survivors and breast cancer health awareness in the
DFW African American community. Our programs provide ongoing community
education, fund mammograms for under or uninsured women, partner breast cancer
survivors with recently diagnosed women, and support women facing financial
challenges during treatment and more.
