Co-founded in 2011 by Azita Erfani and Kelly Ramey, The Houston Wellness Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that strives to empower all individuals to make positive healthy lifestyle choices by providing accessible wellness education and programming. The organization’s goal is simple, to provide free and low cost wellness related programs for the public.
Current program, Run For Wellness FREE 5K Series
- Open to runners and walkers of all ages and abilities
- 2 FREE chip timed races a month (George Bush Park, west & Heights, central), 3RD FREE 5K COMING IN 2016!
Your donations will help bring 1 more FREE 5K's to the south side of town AND help make our long term plan a reality!
- Expansion of FREE race series to other race distances (10K, 25K, half marathon, marathon)
- Free yoga series
- Free cooking classes
- Educational wellness workshops/seminars/fairs
- Wellness coaching
- Individualized “apps” to help individuals create and stay on a path to lifelong well behaviors
- Annual/quarterly/monthly/weekly/daily programs to make wellness a routine habit
- Obtain our own facility to carry out our daily operations
