REGISTRATION FEES

Include a Continental Breakfast, Lunch, PinkFest Tahoe Event T-Shirt, Event Gift Bag and Free Raffles of wonderful prizes! 

Pre-Registration: $60.00

Event Day: $75.00

 

ONLINE/PRE-REGISTRATION CLOSES AT 4:00PM THURSDAY, MARCH 23, 2019.

We will be taking event day registrations at the Winters Creek Lodge on the “Slide Side” of Mt. Rose beginning at 8am.

 

SUGGESTED FUNDRAISING GOAL:

$100 per person and $100 from Family and Friends.  Although fundraising is not required to participate, we encourage all of those participants who are able to, to try and raise at least $200.  All donations go directly to Moms on the Run, (a local a 501-c3 non profit, established in 2000).

Every Participant will get a Free Raffle Ticket and the chance to win more great prizes! Raffle takes place during lunch.

 

BOBO’S H2 DEMO TEAM ON-SITE

The BOBO’S H2 Demo Team and Tent along with the Head Ski Company will be set up on snow with free ladies demos.  We will hold your Drivers License for collateral.  

Pre-Event Demo requests are suggested.  Come into the store and ask for 

Pat, Ashley or Broc for demo ski request details. First come, first serve.

1:00-2:30:  Afternoon Instruction

2:45-3:45:  Participants perform the Ultimate Skiing Flash Mob

3:45-4:30:  Gather in the Winters Creek Lodge for Good-Byes, Thank You’s to all of you

Do I have to be a good skier to participate in the PinkFest Tahoe?

We recommend that everyone participating in the PinkFest Tahoe is an Advanced Beginner and able to safely go down a green run with confidence. 

Does my registration fee include a lift ticket?

Lift Access is not provided with your PinkFest Event Registration.  If you are a Mt. Rose Premier pass holder you already have lift access. If you are not a Mt. Rose Premier pass holder, for a $60 donation to Moms on the Run given the morning of the event with proof of your PinkFest Tahoe Registration, you will receive an all day lift ticket restricted to you (non-transferable), a registered PinkFest Tahoe participant. 

SKIER ABILITY/ABILITY LEVEL DEFINITIONS

Below are the Group Breakdowns by ability. We recommend that everyone participating is at least an Advanced Beginner and able to safely go down a green run with confidence. 

You will be asked to describe yourself Group A thru G on the Pink Chase Registration Form.

GROUP A

WHERE I AM:  I’m confident on all groomed blues and have ventured into ungroomed blues and blue bumps.

WHAT I WANT:  Improve confidence and skill on blue bumps, groomed blacks, ungroomed blues such as powder, crud, slush or firm snow.

MY EXPECTATIONS:  Work on skills on blue groomers and use my new skills on ungroomed blues and groomed blacks.  I’ll spend more time on blues than on blacks.

MY COMFORT ZONE:  I don’t want to come anywhere near my panic zone.  I know I may have to feel some discomfort to try new things, but I prefer to stay in my comfort zone most of the time.  (90% in comfort zone.)

GROUP B

WHERE I AM:  I’m confident on all groomed blues and have ventured into ungroomed blues and blue bumps.

WHAT I WANT:  Improve confidence and skill on blue bumps, groomed blacks, ungroomed blues such as powder, crud, slush or firm snow.

MY EXPECTATIONS:  Work on skills on blue groomers and use my new skills on ungroomed blues and groomed blacks.  I’ll spend more time on blues than on blacks.

MY COMFORT ZONE:  I don’t want to come anywhere near my panic zone.  I know I may have to feel some discomfort to try new things and am willing to go in and out of my comfort zone.  (50% in comfort zone.)

GROUP C

WHERE I AM:  I’m confident on all groomed blues and have ventured into ungroomed blues and blue bumps.

WHAT I WANT:  Improve confidence and skill on blue bumps, groomed blacks, ungroomed blues such as powder, crud, slush or firm snow.

MY EXPECTATIONS:  Work on skills on blue groomers and use my new skills on ungroomed blues and groomed blacks.  I’ll spend time in both blues and blacks, and like being pushed.

MY COMFORT ZONE:  I don’t want to come anywhere near my panic zone.  I know I may have to feel some discomfort to try new things am willing to push myself.

GROUP D

WHERE I AM:  I’m confident on all groomed blacks and have ventured into ungroomed blacks and black bumps, but it isn’t pretty.

WHAT I WANT:  Develop and improve confidence and skill on black ungroomed terrain and black bumps.

MY EXPECTATIONS:  I’ll work on skills on blue and black groomers and blue ungroomed and use my new skills on ungroomed blacks.  I’ll split my time between blue and black terrain, including blue and black ungroomed terrain.

MY COMFORT ZONE:  I expect to come near my panic zone periodically, but not very often.  I know I may have to feel some discomfort to try new things and am willing to push myself close to the panic zone sometimes. (close to panic zone maybe 10% of the time.)

GROUP E

WHERE I AM:  I’m confident on all groomed blacks and have ventured into ungroomed blacks and black bumps, but it isn’t pretty.

WHAT I WANT:  Develop and improve confidence and skill on black ungroomed terrain and black bumps.

MY EXPECTATIONS:  I’ll work on skills on blue and black groomers and blue ungroomed and use my new skills on ungroomed blacks.  I’ll split my time between blue and black terrain, including blue and black ungroomed terrain.

MY COMFORT ZONE:  I expect to come near my panic zone often.  I know I may have to feel some discomfort to try new things and am willing to push myself close to the panic zone about half the time. (close to panic zone maybe 50% of the time.)

GROUP F

WHERE I AM:  I go anywhere (all blacks), but it isn’t pretty.  I’m game for anything and have a high tolerance of just making it down the hill.

WHAT I WANT:  Develop better technique and tactics for steep terrain, chutes and bumps and feel more confidence. I want to reduce the times when I’m just picking my way down the hill.

MY EXPECTATIONS:  I’ll spend the majority of my time on black terrain, both groomers and off groomers with occasional time on blue terrain to develop new skills.

MY COMFORT ZONE:  I expect to come near my panic zone often.  I know I may have to feel some discomfort to try new things and am willing to push myself close to the panic zone about half the time. (close to panic zone maybe 50% of the time.)

GROUP G

WHERE I AM:  I go anywhere (all blacks), with occasional lapses in balance and confidence.  

WHAT I WANT:  Develop better technique and tactics for steep terrain, chutes and bumps. 

MY EXPECTATIONS:  I’ll spend the majority of my time on black terrain, both groomers and off groomers with occasional time on blue terrain to develop new skills.

MY COMFORT ZONE:  I am seldom near my panic zone when I ski, but I am willing to go near if that’s what it takes.  I’m pretty much game for anything - bring it on!
