Please read any waiver carefully. It includes a release of liability and waiver of legal rights and deprives you of the ability to sue certain parties. Do not agree to this document unless you have read and understood it in its entirety. By agreeing electronically, you acknowledge that you have both read and understood the text presented to you as part of the registration process. You also understand and agree that events carry certain inherent dangers and risks which may or may not be readily foreseeable, including without limitation personal injury, property damage or death. Your ability to participate in the event(s) is/are subject to your agreement to the waiver and by agreeing herein, you accept and agree to the terms of the waiver and release agreement. You must be over 18 years of age OR the parent/legal guardian of a minor under 18 years of age OR the legal guardian of an incapacitated and/or mentally challenged person in order to agree to the text below.
I understand that the entry fee is non-refundable. I know that running
or volunteering for a road race is a potentially hazardous activity,
which could cause injury or death. I will not enter and participate
unless I am medically able and properly trained, and by my signature, I
certify that I am medically able to participate in this event, I am in
good health, and I am properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision
of a race official relative to any aspect of my participation in this
event, including the right of any official to deny or suspend my
participation for any reason whatsoever. I attest that I have read the
rules of the race and agree to abide by them. I assume all risks
associated with running in this event, including but not limited to:
falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather,
including high heat and/or humidity, traffic, and the conditions of the
road, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. I understand
that bicycles, skateboards, roller skates or roller blades, animals, and
personal music players are not allowed in the race and I will abide by
all race rules. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and
inconsideration of your accepting my entry, I, for myself and anyone
entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the 2015 PARC Monster
Dash, the city of Pearland, Brazoria County, Pearland Area Runners Club,
and the Road Runners Club of America, all event sponsors, their
representatives and successors from all claims or liabilities of any
kind arising out of my participation in this event, even though that
liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the
persons named in this waiver. I hereby authorize Pearland Area Runners
Club and the 2015 PARC Monster Dash to take photographs and/or films
(video, digital and motion pictures) of me. I understand that
photographs and films of me may be taken individually or as part of a
group. I understand and agree that these photographs and films may be
used by Pearland Area Runners Club representatives for any of the
following purposes: education, information, training, research,
security, decor, publicity, marketing, multimedia, advertising or any
other purpose deemed appropriate by Pearland Area Runners Club.
Pearland Area Runners Club may use these photographs and films for
these purposes without compensation of any kind to me. I hereby state
that I have read this form and I understand its contents. I agree to
all the terms herein.
