Greeting Pere Marquette Endurance Trail Run Participants,

In a normal year, we would only be a few days from approaching the start line for the 32nd annual Pere Marquette race. Trust me when I tell you the race team and Metro Tri Club are as disappointed as you are.  The local park management was willing to work with us to hold the race but, sadly, the state would not issue a permit. 

Each year as part of registration, we give runners the opportunity to include a donation to the Pere Marquette Trail Maintenance Fund. And each year you are very generous with your donations. Usually in January, Metro Tri Club votes on a donation that is added to yours. We then present the check to the park superintendent. The park puts the funds directly to maintaining and improving the trials we all enjoy and do a great job making sure the money is spent wisely.   

Metro Tri Club voted this week to make a donation to the park and we wanted to give those of you who are so inclined to also make a donation. You donation will be added to the club's and delivered directly to local park management.
