In a couple weeks I will be running a half marathon! I am very excited to be running for a great cause, The Emmanuel Home of Protection in Nicaragua. As my friends and family know, I spent about six weeks in Nicaragua last spring during my semester in Central America. I saw firsthand how extreme poverty, domestic violence, and lack of access to education are all serious problems in the country. The ministry of the Emmanuel Home works to provide safety and love for girls that really need it! I am excited to be able to support this effort in any small way that I can.
