Thank you for volunteering to help work the LPHS Project Graduation 5k Run/Walk.  Volunteers like you help make this event a success!  Positions with an asterisk (*) are the ones to sign up for if you are interested in also walking or running this event.

 

Anticipated times for each position are listed, but we will be at Sylvan Beach Park as early as 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 6th.  We anticipate being completely finished and cleaned up no later than 10:00 a.m.  Please feel free to work more than one position or stick around to help with clean up once your role is complete.

 

All volunteers signed up through this site will receive a T-shirt and volunteer/community service hours credits if needed.  Please call Gretchen Welch 713-503-5720 if you have any questions regarding duties or requirements.

Come early to help set up the tent, tables, and mark the course. Then stay at a key location along the course to ensure runners/walkers stay on course.

Located at the half-way point volunteers for this position will hand out water, police trash from water cups, provide encouragement.

Chip Distribution/Recovery
Volunteers for this position will pass out timing chips to runners and walkers according to their bib numbers and then retrieve the timing chips from the runners/walkers as they cross the finish line.
