The Big Sky Ski Education Foundation Freeride Team is pleased to announce the Headwaters IFSA Junior Freeride. 

Big Sky has some of the most challenging, and FUN, terrain in the United States! We will be competing on some of the best terrain that Big Sky Resort has to offer.   In this IFSA sanctioned Regional event skiers and snowboarders will be judged on Line choice, Fluidity, Technique, Control, and Style while navigating the incredible Big Sky terrian.

Lift tickets will be available to the BSSEF competitors at the discounted rate of $45 for junior competitors 11-17 and a rate of $67 for adults 18 or older – on the day of the event only and only to BSSEF competitors. This rate does not include a three percent (3%) resort tax. 

Inspection for both venues will open on Friday March 10th. Big Sky Resort offers very demanding terrain. Please plan extra time to inspect both venues. 

U12 division will compete on Saturday March 11th only.

PLEASE NOTE THAT U12 IS LIMITED TO ATHLETES OF 10-11 YEARS IN AGE.

• 10:15am: *Junior freeride competition starts* (Obsidian terrain)
• 4:00pm - 4:30pm: U12 Awards Headwaters Grill/ Patio
• 4:15pm - 5:30pm: (Mandatory) Junior competitor standings and finals information meeting at the Pavilion at the Madison base area

• 8:30am: Athlete meeting for finalists at the Pavilion at the Madison base area (Mandatory)
• 9:00am - 10:00am: Soft venue inspection
• 10:30am: *Junior finals competition starts*(Headwaters terrain/ TBD)
• 4:30pm: Awards ceremony at Headwaters Grille/ Patio

This competition will use the Maddison Base Area as a base of operations. Please plan on parking at the Maddison Base Area for all three days. Competitors, skiing over from Big Sky is not advised on competition days. Please carpool to the Maddison Base Area.
