In partnership with St. Joseph Today and the 14th Annual Magical Ice Fest in downtown St. Joseph, Michigan, Sunset Coast Striders is proud to bring to you the 5th annual Ice Fest 5k Chocolate Walk/Run! 100% of proceeds will benefit the Safe Shelter for Domestic Violence, one of five programs operated by Child & Family Services of Southwestern Michigan.

 Safe Shelter for Domestic Violence provides a secure, violence free environment for survivors of intimate partner domestic violence and sexual assault along with their dependent children. Survivors are offered a protective, warm and violence free place to stay, listening ears, support groups, and other resources needed to develop safe, healthy and meaningful lives for themselves and their children.

 Individual, group and family counseling are among the available services offered in addition to advocacy and support when needed. Assistance is offered with basic needs such as food, clothing and personal hygiene products. All services of Safe Shelter for Domestic Violence are provided at no charge and the shelter relies on grant funds and private contributions to keep the services available to residents of Berrien County.

EARLY PACKET PICK-UP: Friday, February 2, 2018 from 5:30pm - 7:30pm. LOCATION: South Shore Health & Racquet Club

LATE PACKET PICK-UP & SAME DAY REGISTRATION: Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 7:30am - 8:30am. Same day registration is $30.00.  $20.00 for 14 & under or 65 & older. Cash or Check only please. LOCATION: 301 State St. St Joseph, MI 49085. The St Joseph Today building. 

RACE START: 9am. The course will be well marked and we will provide plenty of course marshals (& expect an Oompa Loompa or two) to guide you right along. This is a winter run...Remember winter/road safety! It may be slippery and you might want to bring YakTrax or StabilIcers if you have them. Please be careful out there!   

POST RACE PARTY: 9:20 - 11:00am  Head to the big tent next to the St. Joseph Today building immediately following the race for LOTS of chocolaty yumminess!! Plus music, fellowship, and awards/giveaways!  

RACE RESULTS & AWARDS:   This is a chip timed event. Race results will be posted on race day.  Spectacular trophies go to the overall male and female finishers. Medals to the top three 5k run male and female age group finishers. Top walker divisions will also be awarded. Award presentations will promptly start at 10:00am. 

In lieu of a T-Shirt, you will be getting a coveted Ice Fest Chocolate Mug...you will definitely need something to hold all that chocolaty yumminess!  Unfortunately, it takes 3 weeks for the mugs. So please, please, reigister by January 13, 2018 to guarantee your mug!!!
