ZOMBIE-THEMED COSTUMED 5K FUN RUN

Imagine hundreds of zombies waiting to devour some tasty human brains- and instead of running from them, you’re ONE OF THE ZOMBIES! When the alarm goes off, a human survivor flees down the path ahead of you while all of you run, lurch and shuffle after him! That’s how this is going to go down.

The pictures will be glorious. That’s not all! There’s going to be lots of surprises along the way and chances for you to terrorize the locals!

Registration comes with a zombie makeup kit, No-Brainer swag bag and all finishers get a custom pint glass! Trophies will be awarded after the race for fastest runners and best costumes too!

We all like tasty bevs, right? Right. This glass not only says “hey, I enjoy getting some exercise and having fun,” but it also literally tells people that you might be a zombie and they better not mess with your beer. Ever.

We will only have 1 human in the race- the one you will be chasing! We’re encouraging all our runners to dress like a zombies, so we’re including in your registration a FREE zombie makeup kit with everything you need to look truly your WORST on race day!

FUN RUN COURSE

Our route is relatively flat and most of the course has tree cover scattered throughout.

The course starts at West Wingfield Park, West along the Truckee River path and through Idlewild Park, with some fun surprises along the route!

PARKING

There is tons of parking around West Wingfield Park. If you choose a metered parking space, you can now pay the meters with a credit card.

If you’re looking for free parking, just a couple blocks north of Wingfield Park on Arlington you’ll see the Sands Regency lot!

OPTIONAL ADD-ON T-SHIRT

(Must register by October 20th to guarantee a shirt!)

We make all our shirts to look like something you’d want to wear out with your friends- not just some throw-away race shirt! Add yours on for only $12 when you register. You must register no later than Friday, October 20th to order a tshirt!

Shirts are $20 on race day until we sell out.

AFTER-PARTY DETAILS

After the race is over and folks have shuffled back to their graves, those 21 and over and invited to Headquarters Bar at 219 W 2ND street for a sweet undead afterparty full of drink specials and all manner of reanimated shenanigans.

CHARITY PARTNER

Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful (KTMB), it is a nonprofit dedicated to beautification, advocating for a clean community, cleanups and education in the Truckee Meadows for over 25 years. They coordinate volunteer groups to help plant trees and flowers, clean up graffiti, and beautify parks, and hold large-scale cleanup events and recruit over 4,000 volunteers a year to help remove litter from the Truckee River, open spaces, neighborhoods and business corridors.

A portion of the proceeds from every Happy Athletics run goes to KTMB. Keeping our community clean is important to us, and so we thank everyone who comes out to the runs, which helps us support their cause.
