It's time to register for the 5th Annual Heroes for Hope 5K Run/Walk. Join us and help celebrate Childhood Cancer Awareness Month!! This year we are excited to announce that our race will benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Heroes for Hope. We have a new location! This year we will hold the race at Acme Brick, 3024 Acme Brick Plaza, Fort Worth, TX 76109!! We will start the day with a free Kids 1K Fun Run (12 and under) at 7:45am and the 5K at 8:00am. Come out and help us honor our little HEROES, who are in the fight of their lives!
All levels are welcome! If you can run, walk, or crawl this is your race! We will have free craft beer, free BBQ, free fresh fruit, free massages, a superhero costume for kids and adults, contest for largest team and largest corporate team, a kids fun zone, and an awesome vendor village (bring extra money for all the cool stuff!). We will have awards for Overall Male and Female, Overall Masters Male and Female, and traditional 5 year age group awards. Our 2017 Ambassador of Hope is Aidan Wallace. Aidan is a brave 6 year old little boy who was diagnosed with Stage IV Nephroblastoma, kidney cancer. Like and share his story on Facebook at Aidanstrong. Aidan will design this year's medals!! Have your HERO's name listed on the back of this year's shirt. SIGN UP AS A FUND-RACER and be a SUPERHERO for our little HEROES!! Help us fundraise and earn some awesome prizes. We will show you how to make it easy! Camp Gladiator will lead a fun pre-race warmup. Cox Racing Services will certify the course and provide chip timing. Event details and schedule
The day will start at 6:30am for race day packet pickup and registration. We will have a free Kids 1K Fun Run (12 & under) starting at 7:45am and the 5K will start at 8:00am. We will play the National Anthem before the start of the 5K and have a balloon release as the 5K starts to honor our "Heroes in Heaven". The course will run along the Trinity River with water stops near miles 1 and 2. We will have water and gatorade at the water stops. Join us for the "coolest race of the summer".
