Sisters Network Dallas, 6000 Sisters, 6000 Steps for Hope, Breast Cancer Walk and Expo, "Its not just Pink it's personal" spotlights the 6,000 African American women who lose their fight with breast cancer in the United States each year. This event is a celebration of life for friends and family who are breast cancer survivors, an opportunity to remember loved ones lost to breast cancer, a chance to enjoy a fun healthy 3 mile walk (approx. 6000 steps), and an opportunity to visit with healthcare and healthy living exhibitors.
Proceeds from the walk will support local programs providing survivorship support and breast health education in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Programs include funding mammograms, for under or uninsured women, partnering breast cancer survivors with recently diagnosed women, supporting women facing financial challenges during treatment and more.
Sisters Network Dallas is an Affiliate Chapter of Sisters Network® Inc., a National African American Breast Cancer Survivorship Organization
