Location/Course: Pavillion #6, Bear Creek Park Houston, TX 77084. A 5k loop course through Bear Creek Park's streets. No baby strollers, inline skates or headphones will be allowed on the course.
Directions: From downtown Houston, go west on I-10 (about 18 miles), north on Hwy. 6 (about 3.5 miles), east on Clay Road (about 0.5 miles), south on Bear Creek Drive into the park and turn left at the sign that says Pavilion #6 which is the race staging area.

Parking and Restrooms: Numerous parking spots and restrooms within Bear Creek Park beside Pavilion #6.
Tonados Club History: The Tornados Running Club has a 32-year history of running excellence and is a member club of the Houston Area Road Runner’s Association (HARRA). The Cinco de Mayo 5K & Kid’s K is one of two races the club hosts annually. It is our “Give Back to the Community” race. Since its inception in 2005 we have given 14 scholarships totaling more than $42,000. This year the proceeds will benefit the Athletic Dept. of Chinquapin Preparatory School which provides a high-quality college-preparatory education to able and motivated youth from low-income families in the Greater Houston Area.
