Have you ever been buried, rose from the dead, then run (or walked, or shuffled) five kilometers through a downtown urban environment with hundreds of other zombies after fresh, tasty brains, while thousands of people watched in horror? Well, you’re in luck because you can skip the death and burial and just wear makeup!

THE ONLY ALL-ZOMBIE RUN

Running FROM zombies? Pfffffffff. That’s every zombie run. There’s like 6 of them a day in the United States. This is the only race where you HAVE TO BE A ZOMBIE to run!

THE APOCALYPSE HITS DOWNTOWN RENO

Imagine hundreds of zombies held under the Reno Arch, waiting to devour some tasty human brains- and you’re ONE OF THE ZOMBIES! On the street is one lone human survivor. When the alarm goes off, all of you run, lurch and shuffle after him as he flees in terror down the city street! That’s how this is going to go down. The pictures will be glorious.

That’s not all! There’s going to be lots of surprizes along the way and chances for you to terrorize the locals! We’re going to make this as fun as we can.

THRILLER UNDER THE ARCH & RENO ZOMBIE CRAWL

After the race is complete and runners come in, stick around to take part in our MASSIVE Thriller Dance under the Reno Arch! Talk about the best after-party for a fun run ever! After that, if you’re 21 or over you can use your FREE Reno Zombie Crawl cup to take part in the biggest and best zombie bar crawl in the world!

We’re doing something new this year: the more runners we get, the more stuff we’re going to give away! As our numbers grow we’re going to reward you with even better stuff! We appreciate everyone who comes out to our events and if you convince all your friends and family to come out with you, we think you should get rewarded. We’ll send you updates as the race grows and let you know when awesome prizes get unlocked!

200 RUNNERS = PATCHES WILL GET UNLOCKED!

Once we have 200 runners registered we will order custom-made embroidered Arch Rivals patches for ALL RUNNERS!

300 RUNNERS = CASH PRIZES FOR EARLY FINISHERS!

Once we have 300 runners registered we will add CASH MONEY prizes for our quickest runners!

• $200 each for the 1st place male and female runners!
• $100 each for the 2ns place male and female runners!
• $50 each for the 3rd place male and female finishers!

500 RUNNERS = GRAND PRIZE

THE COURSE

The race starts under the Reno Arch and will follow a path along the Truckee River, circling back to the start area. Right now we’re working on an EVEN COOLER race map than we’ve had for previous runs and will post the map some time in August!

PARKING

There’s plenty of space for parking downtown! You’ll find free parking at the Cal-Neva parking lot on the corner of Center and 1st Street as well as at the other downtown casinos.

KEEP TRUCKEE MEADOWS BEAUTIFUL

Since we love our area and want to preserve it’s beauty, we will be donating a portion of the proceeds to KTMB. We also organize occasional cleanups downtown in case you want to get involved with that too!

PACKET PICKUP

Packet pickup will be held on Friday, October 23rd from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Mellow Fellow Reno, 300 East 2nd St. across from the Aces ballpark. Parking is FREE in the parking garage behind them. PLUS: everyone 21+ gets a FREE BEER!

• After Runners Return: Costume contests, kids coloring contest & conclusion
• Stay for Thriller Under the Arch!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT IF I DON’T DRESS AS A ZOMBIE?
Then you can’t participate! It’s the “only ALL-ZOMBIE run”, not the only “everybody runs” run. There’s plenty of those.

CAN I WALK?
Sure! We’ll have walkers, shufflers- we don’t discriminate against whatever kind of zombie you want to be!

CAN I BRING MY DOG?
Yes! Your dog must be on a leash and be able to stay under control. Your dog’s actions are your responsibility. Also, check to see if the pavement is too hot for your pup’s paws!

CAN I RUN WITH A STROLLER?
Yes! You don’t have to register your child who is in a stroller. Honestly, you could put a grown person in a stroller and you wouldn’t have to register them- that’d be hilarious.

IS THIS EVENT TIMED?
This is a fun run, not a chipped event. That said, we will have a system for keeping time that we’ll employ. More info on this coming in September.
