Background:

Rose Runners is an organization founded in honor of Madeline Rose Morris after having passed away in a car accident November of 2012.  Rachelle Morris, Madie’s older sister turned to running, a hobby she and Madie shared, as an outlet for grief. She ran her first half marathon in honor of her sister a few months after the accident where she received significant amounts of emotional support from family and friends. Here, she decided to turn her outlet for grieving the loss of her younger sister into something more than just her personal medicine. Because of Madie’s unforgettable kind, generous, and loving spirit we have been inspired to prolong her legacy here on earth by running and raising funds for those in need. Rose Runners is a nonprofit organization that utilizes running to financially support families who are dealing with unanticipated traumatic experiences (accidents, natural disasters, etc.), and to provide a healthy outlet for those who grieve. 

         

 Time: 

The 5k race anwill take place Saturday April 11, 2015 starting promptly at at 9 A.M.

Cost:

A $15 entry fee will be charged for the 5K . Pre Registration will be available online up until April 8, 2015, 3 days prior to the race. Onsite registration will take place the morning of the race, April 11 2015, beginning at 7:00 A.M. for $20.

Parking:

Event parking is available at LaVell Edwards Stadium, across the street from where the race will begin.
