About This Event
This is the 11th Annual Cinco de Mayo 5K Run/Walk and Kid's 1K, organized by the Tornados Running Club.   Race proceeds provide educational scholarships for local Latino students. To date we have raised and distributed over $45,000.

Course Description
Bear Creek Park, Houston, Texas, 77084. Certified two loop course (TX02019ETM) through tree-lined park roads.
No baby strollers, roller blades or headphones will be allowed on the course.  

5K Run Awards
Overall awards for top male and female in both Open and Masters categories.
Additionally, awards for the top three finishers in each of the following age groups.
Five (5) year age groups: Male/Female 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and up

Kid's 1K Awards
Awards given to first place male and female.
All participants receive a finishers medal.  

Race t-shirts
Race event shirts are guaranteed for all early registrants and can be picked up at race packet pickup or on race day.
Shirts will be gender specific TECH shirts sized Small through XXL. All Youth Large shirts will be male.
There will be limited quantities available to late and race-day registrants on a first-come, first-served basis.  

Directions
From downtown Houston, go west on I-10 (about 18 miles), north (right) on Hwy. 6 (about 3.5 miles), east (right) on Clay Road (about 0.5 miles), south (right) on Bear Creek Drive into the park and race staging area.  

Early Registration
Mail-in registrations must be postmarked by April 24th to qualify for the early registration fee.
On-line early registration fees apply through Sunday, April 24th
Early Registration Fees:
$10 for Kid's 1K
$25 for 5K

$10 for seniors (65+)
ENTRY FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE
