The Auburn Ski Club Training Center invites you to attend the 2015 US National Biathlon Championships at the ASC Training Center in Soda Springs, CA on March 20th-22nd. The US National Biathlon Championships are sponsored by the United States Biathlon Association.
The Auburn Ski Club was formed in 1928 and the Club’s original Cisco Ski Grounds boasted the first engineered ski jump in the west. The goal of Auburn Ski Club is to offer low cost, high quality ski programs to individuals and families. ASC offers program in Alpine Skiing, Snowboarding, Nordic Skiing, and Biathlon.
The ASC Training Center has a modern 6,000 square foot building with locker rooms, restrooms, offices and world-class training/competition venues. They also have 20km of groomed Nordic Trails. There is a 16 point USBA regulation biathlon range.
Rules
International Biathlon Union Event and Competition Rules will be in effect for this event, except as specifically modified by the Organizing Committee or Competition Jury. Any modifications to the rules will be discussed at the Team Captains Meeting. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to modify the parameters of the event based on local conditions such as weather and trail availability. For example, If the weather is particularly warm the races may be held earlier to get the best conditions.
Eligibility
All participants must be USBA or Biathlon Canada members in good standing. Please make sure that you are registered prior to the start of these events. If you do not have a membership please visit: http://www.teamusa.org/US-Biathlon/Membership/Join-USBA to sign up.

Team Captains Meeting
There will be a team captains meeting on Thursday March 19th at 4pm at the ASC Training Center. Additional meetings will be scheduled as needed. This meeting will include modifications to the rules, election of the jury, and the start order draw for the sprint competition. Bibs and start lists will be available at the registration desk at the ASC Training Center by 7:30am on the morning of each race.
Awards
Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each competition class as well as each of the mater’s categories at a ceremony following each of the three races.
Waxing
Indoor wax areas will be available for use at the ASC Training Center facility.
Waiver
Each competitor must sign a wavier and a release of liability before using the ASC Training Center facilities and trails.

Driving Directions
The center is located adjacent to Boreal Mountain Resort on Donner Summit at 19749 Boreal Ridge Road. From I-80 take the Castle Peak exit and drive to the west end of the Boreal parking lot. For people flying in the Reno/Tahoe International airport is the closest (45 min) and not far from I-80. The Sacramento International airport is also close to I-80 and is about 1.5 hours away from the training center.
