Have your cake and eat it, too! As a participant in this fun run, you will be a part of - and the start of - the Mardi Gras Mainland Parade! Run, walk, stroll, or roll past tailgaters galore along Texas City's most celebrated route! 

For this event, it doesn't matter how fast you go, you just need to go! Dress up! Throw beads! Skates, bikes and strollers are welcome, too! This will be a FUN run like you've never done before. 

This is a 5K route that immediately precedes the MARDI GRAS MAINLAND PARADE. 

Route: Start at the Carlos Garza Park at 33rd Street North on Palmer Highway. Continue along Palmer Highway to Sixth Street. Turn right on Sixth Street to the Showboat Pavilion, 416 6th St. North, in Texas City. 

Participants who paid for an entry to this event will also receive a really cool technical shirt as well as a finishers medallion, beverage cup, refreshments and beverages at the finish line. Texas City ISD students may enter this event for free but will only receive a finishers medallion (limited in number to the first 150). Texas City ISD students must register on this site with parent/ guardian permission and use the code:  TXCITYISD at checkout. Parents/guardians are completely responsible for children and their safety. 

This race is not a certified course and will not be chip timed.

Adult entry fee= $25.

Youth entry fee (age 17 and younger) = $15.

Tx City ISD students= free (or you can choose to pay $15 and receive race goodies).
