ASHE 5000 Race for HEALING - ALL PROCEEDS GO TO CUISINE FOR HEALING

The ASHE 5000 Race for Healing is the premiere fundraising event that ASHE-DFW is organizing on behalf of Cuisine for Healing.

The event is 1K kids and 5K run at Texas Motor Speedway. The event is unique in that the runs will take place on the racetrack at night. In addition to the runs, there will be many fun activities for the entire family.

About ASHE

American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE) is a national organization with local sections.

ASHE provides a forum for members and partners of the highway industry to promote safe, efficient, and sustainable transportation through education, innovation and fellowship.

ASHE-DFW serves as the local section serving for the DFW metroplex area. ASHE-DFW holds monthly events for both members and non-members. These events are either technical forums or social activities that allow people connect.

The ASHE-DFW board selected Cuisine for Healing as their charity of choice because the majority of board members have either experienced cancer themselves and/or have had family and/or friends that have had to deal with the disease.

Laura's Story

Laura Approaching the Finishing Line of Her First 5K Race After Battling Cancer

Laura Weber is an ASHE-DFW board member.

Laura is no stranger to cancer. She faced cancer 5 times in 4.5 years.

Laura began eating Cuisine for Healing meals half way through her journey.

Laura truly believes that their meals helped to dissipate her “cancer tornado” and survive the storm. She continues eating their meals to maintain   her health and prevent another recurrence.

Laura finished her first 5K race on Thanksgiving Day 2015. This was truly amazing considering her last treatment was just 6 months earlier.

James' Story

James Lewis had a 3% chance of surviving when he was diagnosed with cancer.

Click here to watch his compelling testimony about the meals  he received from Cuisine for Healing and how they helped him win his battle.
