2026 Gold Cup Series (Age Group)
If you are the fastest Gold Cup finisher in your age group (determined by your age on July 1), you will receive 100 points for that race. Second place receives 99, etc. Your best 10 (5 for 18 and under) finishes (any distance) will be scored for total points.
Additional scores from races run are dropped in the order of (1) lowest score, (2) shortest distance. A runner's final score will be the longest set of races that result in the highest score. Distance tie-breaker will sum the 10 (or 5) resulting distances. Head-to-head tie breaker uses all races run, regardless of whether the race has been dropped from scoring.
Current age groups: 8 and under; 9-10; 11-12; 13-14; 15-18; 19-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75-79; 80 and over.
All age groups are divided into male and female divisions.

2026 Gold Cup Series (Athena/Clydesdale)
The Gold Cup Series includes two weight-based categories. You are not required to compete in this category if you qualify. You may choose if you wish to compete in this weight class, or if you wish to compete in your age group (above option).
- Athena for women weighing 170 lbs and over
- Clydesdale for men weighing 210 lb and over
When a race offers separate competition groups for Clydesdale and Athena, if you are in the Clydesdale or the Athena group for Gold Cup, you MUST compete in those groups to receive Gold Cup points. Conversely, if you are not in the Clydesdale or Athena Gold Cup groups, you MAY NOT compete in those groups and receive Gold Cup points. Clydesdale and Athena divisions must weigh-in three (3) times per year (March-April, June-July, September-October) or otherwise forfeit all scored races within that class. In the event a Clydesdale or Athena forfeits his/her class due to weight disqualification, they will be allowed to enter their individual age division at that time, but not allowed to carry over any points from prior races. At this point, it would be like starting the series over from the beginning, but with no additional cost to the participant.

EVENT INFORMATION
Age Groups are determined by your age on July 1st. You will compete in that group the entire Gold Cup Series. Transferring from one division to another will not be allowed after completion of the first race.
Participants age 19 years and older will be required to complete 10 races. Participants 18 years and younger are required to complete 5 races.
Clydesdale (male 210lbs and over) and Athena (female 170lbs and over) must weigh in three (3) times per year (March-April, June-July, September-October) or otherwise forfeit all scored races within that class. In the event of a forfeit due to weight disqualifications, they will be allowed to enter individual age division at that time, but not allowed to carry over any points from prior races.
