Welcome to the 20th Annual 5K Pear Run!
We’re beyond excited to announce the juiciest event of the year is BACK — and it’s a big one!
The Pear Run 5k is the same route you've known and loved from years past! It's a great route for every member of the family.
Start/Finish line will be inside Independence Park, near the pavilion and will start at 8:00 AM (30 min after the 10k start). All runners must be on site by 7:00am due to road closures. Runners will have full use of John Lizer Rd and the south bound lane of Pearland Parkway, as indicated on the route map.
This route IS USATF certified!

Welcome to the 20th Annual 10K Pear Run!
Get ready to lace up and celebrate two decades of pear-powered fun and fitness! Whether you’re sprinting, jogging, or walking, this 10K is all about good vibes, great company, and juicy moments.
Join us for a course packed with energy, and a finish line full of smiles!
This isn’t just a run It’s a PEAR-ty 20 years in the making!
Are you ready to ruck, run, and rock the pear? Let’s go!
Start/Finish line will be inside Independence Park, near the pavilion and will start at 7:30 AM (30 min prior to the 5k start). All runners must be onsite before 7:00am due to road closures for the race. Runners will have full use of John Lizer Rd, the south bound lane of Pearland Parkway, and the south bound lane of Dixie Farm Rd as indicated on the route map.

Pear Ruck 10k
Welcome to The Pear Runs Very 1st Ever Pear Ruck!
Grab your backpacks,lace up your boots,and get ready to Ruck,pack in the weight, and join the challenge. Whether you're Rucking for time or for fun,this is a chance to carry your strength one pear powered step at a time.
Strap on a Ruck and hit the course. You can run, power walk, or a mix of both—just don’t drop the pack!
Courses is our USTA certified 10K course.
Think of it as a race... with a twist.
Choose Your Adventure: You could be pounding pavement, or charging through obstacles.
No two ruck races are the same—and that’s part of the fun!
It's Go Time:
It’s timed. Fastest across the finish line with your full pack = winner.
But honestly? Just finishing is a flex.
Whether you're in it to win it or just to say “HECK YA, I DID THAT,” Ruck Racing is all about showing up, strapping in, and crushing miles with weight and a smile.
Minimum weights (20 lbs for men and 14lbs for women) are required to keep things fair and tough. Yes, your pack will get weighed before and after! Pre race weight check must be completed by 7:15am. All participants must be on site prior to 7:00am due to road closures for the race. Do not wait until the last minutes to get your ruck weighed on race day.

Kids Pear Run
Get ready for an Unforgettable day at the Kids Pear Run! Not only is the run back and better than ever, but we’ve also got face painting, an awesome obstacle course, and tons of photo ops to capture all the fun! It’s time for the little ones to unleash their creativity and energy so come join us for a day filled with laughter, adventure, and Pear-fect memories!

Benefiting the Pearland Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association (PCPAAA) and the Pearland Police Department
We’re celebrating 20 Amazing Years of the Pear Run on May 2, 2026 at Pearland Independence Park!
This year, we’re leveling up with a brand-new race: The Pear Ruck alongside our classic 5K & 10K. Grab those backpacks and get ready to RUCK! Both the 10k and 5k routes are USATF certified!
The Kids Fun Run is BACK with tons of activities, plus exciting live demos from the Pearland Police Department and photo ops with everyone’s favorite pear, Peary!
Mark your calendars and stay tuned, you won’t want to miss this!
Registration fees are based on route and when you register*, as follows:
- Early Bird Registration (September 16, 2025-January1,2026)
- Standard Registration (January 2- April 7)
- T-Shirt Deadline - April 7
- Late Registration (April 8 - April 29th - noon)
- Race Day Registration (May 2)

Packet pickup dates will be the week before the run and emails will be sent to all registrants with date, time and location details. We will also post packet pickup information on our social media and website.

This is a rain or shine event and as such in the event of severe weather, the Pear Run may be delayed or canceled. If the Pear Run is canceled due to inclement weather, it will not be rescheduled and your generous donation will still be applied to benefit the Pearland Police Department. In most cases this event will go on unless there is lightning at Independence Park or reported hazardous condition at Independence Park.
Proceeds benefit the Pearland Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association and the Pearland Police Department.
