Registration is only $35, ($30 for Striders members), thru February 28th. Prices go up to $40 March 1st thru the 31st and to $45 on April 1st thru the 18th. Everyone pays $50 on Race Day.
Online registration is open until noon Thursday, April 18th. You can register at any one of the 1st Place Sports stores as well until noon Friday, the 19th. Race day registration opens at 6:30AM with the race starting at 8AM. T-shirts are not guaranteed on race day. Please check the box for the location you want to p/u your race packet. We highly recommend picking up your packet before race day.
Please don't come if you are feeling ill, or recently tested positive for COVID-19. Sorry, but there are no refunds.
The Children's free 1 mile Fun Run starts at 9:30am. There is no pre-registration. Please register at the Children's Fun Run table at the race.

Registration is $20 for kids thruFebruary 29th. It goes up to $25 from March 1st to the 31st. Then it goes to $30 from April 1st to the 18th. It is $50 on race day.

EVENT INFORMATION
It's time for the 2025 Run to the Sun, a Florida Strider annual event.
The Run to the Sun course is an excellent opportunity to run along scenic River Road. It's a fast out and back course, that even in warm temperatures stays somewhat cooler because of the river's impact. If you are looking for a quicker 5K time this is the course to run.
Run to the Sun also serves as part of the Grand Pix race series put on by 1st Place Sports. You can find more information at www.1stplacesports.com
Registration
- Online registration is open now, but closes at noon Thursday, April 17th. You can register at any one of the 1st Place Sports stores now thru noon Friday, the 18th, or at the race Saturday morning, starting at 6:45am.
- Sorry, no refunds or transfers
Awards
- Awards to the overall winners, Masters, Grand Masters, and 3 deep in each age group.
- Results will be available on the 1st Place Sports website.
- The Awards ceremony starts at 9am.
Refreshments
- There is a water stop on the course at the halfway turn around.
- Water, Gatorade, and snacks in the Refreshment area after the race.
Start
- The race starts on River Road at 8am. Line up according to your ability. Walkers and strollers in the back please. Out of respect for the routine of athlete warm-ups we will start promptly at 8:00 am.
Course
- This is an out and back course, turning around at Kingsley and Reed Ave.
Finish Line
- Finisher medals for the first 500 finishers.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR FAMILY MEMBER RACE REGISTRATIONS
For Strider Family Memberships, every family member who is going to register for our races MUST HAVE THEIR OWN PROFILE. This is the way to register spouses and children correctly and get our Club race discount rate.
Here is how to do it. One adult in the family is the Family Head. When this person logs in to our website and looks at their profile, they will have an ADD MEMBER button on the upper right of the profile. They will give each family member their own username and password and complete the form. After doing this, proceed to race registration for each family member.If the Family Head has never logged in to our website, they can click Forgot Password and follow the instructions
NOTE- This action is not required to register in our Free Fun Runs. Those registrations take place on race day.
Packet Pickup
Please check your pick up location box when you register. Pre-Race Packet Pickup is encouraged to ensure you get a shirt. We always try to have a surplus but a shirt is not guaranteed on race day. This year shirts will be short sleeve tech shirts, 100% polyester.
