REGISTRATION

5K RUN

A Chip timed event; 5K runners should position themselves at the startline according to their expected pace per mile with faster runners (6 min) in front and slower runners (12 min) farther back. Runners wanting to be timed that are under 10 years old must the pay full price of $55; not the $20 Kidlet price.

5K Walk 'N Talk

A casual walk around the New Hug High School, two laps and then a finish on the track. Walkers should gather according to WALKER signs. This is to allow the runners and walkers to be seperated and to be directed to the correct course. 
 
Kidlet registrants are permited to join their parents, etc. on the Walk 'N Talk.
 
 
 
Time: 9:00 AM
Fee: $55.00

1/4 MILE KIDLET'S FUN RACE

For children under age 10, this run will be one time around the track and is not a timed event. Ribbons will be awarded to all entrants.
 
Kidlet registrants are also allowed to join their parents in the 5K WALK and TALK.
 
Runners wanting to be timed for runnng the 5K that are under 10 years old must register under the 5K Registration option and pay full price, not the Kidlet price.

BACK THIS YEAR!!!! MOMS ON THE RUN 24TH ANNUAL 5K WALK & RUN WILL BE AT THE NEW HUG HIGH SCHOOL!!!

Schedule of Events For Sunday May 12th

7:00-8:30 A.M.

WARM-UP, CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST, LAST-MINUTE PACKET PICK-UP & OPENING CEREMONIES

Event parking is available at Hug High School and parking attendants will direct vehicles to the convenient parking area. Plan to arrive early to snag a good parking spot! Parking lots will be closed from 9 AM to 11 AM for the race!

At 8:30 All participants are asked to line up behind the STARTLINE. 

  • Nonparticipants and spectators should keep to the sides.
  • No dogs are allowed in any of the events.
  • Runners must wear their bib numbers on the front. Race Marshalls must be able to see numbers and colors to direct participants correctly.

Participants in the 5K Run MUST have a numbered bib to cross the 5K finishline. Only numbered bibs will have the timing chip attached to them. Do not remove the foam adhesive at any time. Registered 5K participants wishing to change the event in which will participate can do so at Packet Pickup on Saturday before Mother’s Day. If a 5K participant wishes to walk instead of run on race day, no notification is required, just use the walkers finishline.

When finishing the race, runners are asked to continue to move down the chute. Please don't stop in the Finishers Chute. Please don’t go back through the finisher chute again to be with a family member or friend. Times will be available online via QR Reader apps for immediate results and posted near the track. Results will also be available on the Moms on the Run website the week following the race.

9:00 A.M.      5K Run and Walk N Talk Starts

5K runners should position themselves at the STARTLINE according to their expected pace per mile adjacent to the pace signs from 6 mins to 12 mins.

The 5K Walk n Talk is for walkers only and is not a timed event. Participants should gather according to the WALKER signage. The separation is to prevent walkers from getting mixed in with runners and forcing the runners to run around walkers and strollers. Registered Kidlets are encouraged to join parents on the 5K walk also.

10:30-ish A.M.      ¼ MILE RUN, KIDLET'S RACE

For children under age 10, this run will be one time around the track and is not a timed event. Ribbons will be awarded to all entrants. 

11:30 A.M.     EVENT CONCLUDES & AWARDS AVAILABLE

EVENT PARKING- On site parking is available at Hug High! Arrive early for convenient close parking! Parking lots at Hug High will be closed from 9am-11am with no in or out parking available during that time.
 
Those wishing to leave before 11am should park in the Business Park right off of McCarren Blvd on Sullivan Lane and walk into the event.
