Join us for a carb-loading extravaganza like no other! The Houston Area Road Runners Association (HARRA) is thrilled to host a Pasta Party at the Montrose Center on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at 6:15-8:45 PM, just ahead of the Chevron Houston Marathon. This pre-race gathering promises an evening of delicious food, inspirational insights, and camaraderie within the vibrant Houston running community.
PLEASE NOTE: Unfortunately, our guest speaker, elite runner Jordan Hasay, has had to cancel due to illness.
Fortunately, we have lined up another excellent guest speaker for our event. Our new speaker is endurance runner Calum Neff, Canadian National 50k Record Holder, 3 x Guinness World Record Holder, Pacer, Coach, and Race Director! He will offer pre-race/race tips and talk about his experience pacing Keira D’amato to an American Record in the Houston Marathon in 2022.
The Montrose Center is the perfect venue for this celebration of running, centrally located in the Montrose area near the Med Center, downtown, and the Galleria. The evening will feature a selection of pasta, offering both meat and vegetarian options to cater to diverse preferences. Accompanying the pasta will be fresh salad, bread, non-alcoholic beverages, and, for those looking to relax and unwind, a refreshing assortment of beers courtesy of Saint Arnold Brewing Co. We will also have some terrific door prizes and race giveaways.
This Pasta Party is designed to be inclusive and affordable, welcoming all members of the Houston running community to come together before the Houston Marathon. Whether you're a first-time marathoner or a seasoned veteran, this event provides a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow runners, fuel up with delicious food, and gain inspiration from the experiences of a true running champion.
Don't miss out on this fantastic pre-race gathering! Secure your spot, bring your running spirit, and get ready for an evening of great company, tasty pasta, and inspiring stories. Let's kick off the Houston Marathon weekend in style!
