Cure LMS 5K Walk

December 2022 (Houston, Texas) – On Saturday, December 3, 2022, patients, families, caregivers and clinical supporters rally together in support of Sarcoma diseases. It is a time to show our unwavering support of Ms. Cynthia Solomon Holmes and the Sarcoma Community. The National Leiomyosarcoma (NLMSF) Foundation and The Cynthia Solomon Holmes Foundation (CSHF) are co-hosting this 5K in honor of Sarcoma fighters everywhere. This collaborative effort bridges the gap between LMS research and LMS patient advocacy together.

While this 5K will honor the lives lost to LMS, it also brings hope to those who are currently battling the disease. The event will also raise awareness about the need for continued research and patient advocacy.

Walk at your own pace, create teams to support this endeavor, as participants will take the time to commemorate those affected by Leiomyosarcoma (LMS), a rare sarcoma cancer. This disease affects the smooth muscles of the body. At one time this disease was deemed as one that only affected middle aged individuals, but the reports of younger individuals affected by the disease continue to increase.  Although this disease occurs in four of every million cancer cases, the devastation from its impact can be felt by a countless number of love ones.

Proceeds earned will go towards Leiomyosarcoma (LMS) research and patient advocacy. The walk will consist of supporters cohesively strolling in confidence that this disease can and will be conquered.
