Joey's Wings Foundation

Joey's Wings is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 2014 to honor Joey, a boy who loved running and music but was tragically taken away from his family and friends at the tender age of 10 by pediatric kidney cancer. Their mission is to fund research that focuses on kidney cancers affecting children and young adults, raise awareness and provide support to families affected by childhood cancer. The Board of Directors and other team members operate solely on a volunteer basis. They work tirelessly towards this mission and have, among other things, brought federal legislative changes and donated over $200,000 to University of Texas Southwestern (UTSW) kidney cancer research program led by Dr. Jim Brugarolas.
