Friday Night Load-In
We need a few people to help load the race equipment and merchandise on to the U-Haul truck. We all meet at the clubhouse on Northwest Highway at 6 pm, ready to go!

Pre-Race Set-Up inside Winfrey House
Lots of tasks to be completed inside the house to prepare for all the runners! Unload the U-Haul - Set up tables and chairs - Hang directional banners - Block off bathrooms inside the house - Set out pre-registered bibs on the porch - Assist the merchandising area with set up

Coolers for all aid stations must be filled with Water and Gatorade at Winfrey first thing in the morning - also set up a table with water coolers for the finish line.

We need all hands on deck to make sure the following tasks are done before the party gets started: Set up tents at the start line - Set up and test sound equipment - Set up the arch.

We need a volunteer willing to use their outside voice to keep all users of the lake trail safe. This will include reminding the DRC runners that we share the trail as well as making other runners, walkers, bicyclists, skaters, etc. aware that the race is in progress.

We need a course monitor to help direct bike/pedestrian traffic on the race course at the entrance of Santa Fe Trail to cheer on the runners, and point the runners in the right direction to keep them on course. This is to ensure that runner do not enter the Santa Fe Trail and stay on the race course.

What goes up must always come down. These positions break down the finish line and help to get it all loaded into the U-Haul for delivery back to the clubhouse. We have a great assembly line that makes it fun and fast!

Post-Race - Breakdown at Winfrey & unload at Clubhouse
What goes up must always come down. These positions help break down tables and chairs, pull down banners, sweep and mop, so that we return Winfrey back to its upright and locked position. Essentially, it all has to be taken out of the house, loaded onto the U-Haul and put away back at the clubhouse.

By agreeing electronically, you acknowledge that you have both read and understood the text presented to you as part of the registration process. You also understand and agree that events carry certain inherent dangers and risks which may or may not be readily foreseeable, including without limitation personal injury, property damage or death. Your ability to participate in the event(s) is/are subject to your agreement to the waiver and by agreeing herein, you accept and agree to the terms of the waiver and release agreement. You must be over 18 years of age OR the parent/legal guardian of a minor under 18 years of age OR the legal guardian of an incapacitated and/or mentally challenged person in order to agree to the text below.
The undersigned assumes full and complete responsibility for any injury or accident which may occur during the Dallas Running Club Race (the "Event") to be held from 04/3/2020 through 4/4/2020 in the city of Dallas, Texas and further forever releases, holds harmless and discharges the City of Dallas and their respective officers, employees and agents and the Dallas Running Club (“DRC”) and its sponsors, officers, directors, agents, volunteers, employees, promoters and all other persons and entities associated with the Dallas Running Club Race, from any and all claims for injury or damage arising in any manner from my participation, either as a runner or a volunteer in the Event, whether such injuries or damage be caused by their negligence or my own. I agree to abide by all rules of this Event and I further agree to permit myself to be removed from the Event if, in the opinion of the race administrators, my continuing participation would endanger my health and or the safety of others. Further, I grant full and unqualified permission to the DRC to use my image in any photographs, videotapes, motion pictures, recordings or any other record of this event.
