How much does the season cost?

This season will be just $35.00 for all the great perks!

What is the Second Sole discount?

Second Sole in Gahanna has been our loyal partner since CERC began in 2010.  All members receive a 15% discount on your in-store and phone purchases.  This is the best discount in town and will allow you to recoup the $35 membership fee with just two shoe purchases!  Second Sole also does phone orders with free delivery and curb side pickup!

Does the end of season race cost extra?

No!  Your $35 registration fee automatically registers you for the race!

What are the distances of the races?

Depending on the local COVID guidelines in place at the time, we will host a virtual race with an in-person option on April 24, 2021.  This date aligns with the Cap City half and quarter marathon, which are the distances we will offer for our members.

What is a buff?

This season all members will receive a buff in place of our regular member shirt.  A buff might also be referred to as a neck gaiter and is a versatile garment to be worn in a variety of ways.  Check it out:

What is the CERC Runs Ohio Challenge?

Your team accountability is here in a virtual setting!  This season we are teaming up in groups for 2-5 to complete the total distance around the state of Ohio.  That's 1,000 miles!  There will be check points throughout to keep you motivated, complete with prize drawings as an added incentive.  All you have to do is log your mileage you run as part of your team total.  Find more information on the challenge here.

Will there be awards?

This season all members will receive a medal for completion of the challenge and end-of-season race.  You will get one medal for completing one or both of the events.  Your choice at what level you participate!  In addition, the team challenge will have prize drawings at check points throughout.  If your team reaches the distance by a set date, you will be entered into the drawing.

How does the OSU Sports Medicine education series work?

Experts from OSU Sports Medicine will join us monthly via Zoom to present a virtual education series.  The link will be sent to you via email, just log in from home and learn from the best Sports Medicine team around!

How do I contact the coaches?

Your CERC coaches are always available via email and can schedule a private zoom session if you would like to chat.  Coaches will also be available monthly at the OSU Sports Medicine events for Q&A.

What if I am not able to use Zoom or attend the online sessions at the scheduled time?

Our OSU Sports Medicine sessions will be recorded and available via YouTube after each event.  All CERC coaches are available via email if you are not able to make it to a Zoom session.

Will we be able to have group runs?

CERC board members will continue to monitor the latest news with COVID-19.  If current restrictions are lifted and we feel that it is safe to resume, we will begin holding our regular Saturday morning group runs at no additional cost.  We will continue to hold all virtual components whether we are physically together or apart.
