Community Event
The Daytona Beach Track Club is hosting the 43rd annual Firecracker Beach Run, Saturday, July 7, 2018. Race starting time is 7:00AM. The race will take place on the beach and will run North from the Daytona Beach Bandshell for two miles, turn around and head back to the Bandshell.
All 4th of July visitors, stock car fans, and local residents of all abilities, are invited to run, walk, or stroll the four miles of the beach course. Custom Firecracker race event t-shirts, finisher metals, goodie bags, refreshments and food will be provided for all participants. Overall winner and age group trophies will be awarded to the top finishers. Race goers are encouraged to wear 4th of July attire, flags and hats.
Firecracker Beach Run participants are encouraged to register early to avoid race day crowds. To sign up, go to: DaytonaBeachTrackClub.org / Firecracker Registration. The cost is $35 dollars per person. Packet pick up will be at Spikes Athletic Footwear, 1237 Ridgewood Ave, Daytona Beach, on Friday, July 6, between 12 Noon and 6PM. Day of Race registration begins at 5:30AM at the Daytona Beach Bandshell.
Organization Info
The Daytona Beach Track Club was formed in 1973. It is one the oldest and largest running clubs in Florida. This is the 43rd running of the Firecracker Beach Run. The Track Club also hosts the annual Sandpiper 5K, Holiday Classic 5K, the Paul DeBruyn 30K, Tomoka 4 Miler, and the Daytona Marathon. DBTC primary mission is to promote and enhance our ongoing community programs: Running and walking training programs, Running events and races, Public awareness programs, Fitness and Health activities.
