Registration

All proceeds from this race support Bel Inizio ~ helping women living in transitional housing improve their self-esteem and life skills through exercise and nutrition education. 

Event Schedule

• 7:00 am ~ Packet Pick Up
• 8:00 ~ 5K /10K start
• 9:00 am ~ Awards Ceremony ~ Awards ceremony and raffle. Preliminary race results will be posted at the race site
• 9:30 am ~ Kid’s Mile for ages 12 and under

Great PARTY at the finish line. We will be serving excellent muffins and bownie bites from the Corner Bakery Cafe, crepes created by the Phoenix, bagels from Panera, fruit, and hot coffee.

Time Limit ~ The time limit for completion is 2 hour, 30 minutes for all competitors. We cannot safely allow longer than this per Sugar Land Police Department.

Houston Event Photos is our official race photographer. Shortly after the race you will receive a link to review and purchase your photos.

Race t-shirt
Giving Thanks t-shirts are super great black high quality100% cotton available to all registrants and will be distributed at packet pick up. Late registrants are not guaranteed requested shirt size but we will do our best!

Timing
Race will be chip timed and preliminary results will be posted on site. You must wear your chip to be scored. Chips will be attached to 5K/10K bibs and do not need to be returned. Results can be found online at Run Houston Timing same day by 2 pm.

Packet Pickup
Friday, November 20, 10am-6pm, at Finish Line Sports, 13895 SW Freeway at Sugar Creek Blvd exit in Sugar Land. Sugar Creek Village Center. Take 59 South to Sugar Creek Blvd exit, left under freeway, another left into the strip center. Finish Line Sports is two doors from the corner Shell Station. www.slfinishlinesports.com.

Additional Directions

Note that GPS systems often error in giving directions to Sugar Land Memorial Park. The race will be held at Sugar Land Memorial Park, 15300 University Blvd., Sugar Land, Texas  77479.  Take 59 South and exit University Blvd. heading south.  Entrance to Sugar Land Memorial Park will be at University Blvd. and Commonwealth Blvd. – turn right into the park.

Parking 

Plenty of space is available at Sugar Land Memorial Park. Volunteers will be available to direct you. The race will begin near the pavilion immediately to the right when you drive in.  Additional parking is further ahead to the left. Please do not park in front of the dog park.

Medical provided by Run Safe with Mikey

The Run Safe with Mikey story: Mikey, age 11, collapsed at the finish line of a charity run in December 2013. A nurse who was watching the race performed CPR while 911 was called. CPR was performed for nearly three hours. Mikey was airlifted to the hospital, where he was placed on life support. He was declared brain dead the following morning. The cause of Mikey's death was right coronary artery anomaly. An electrocardiogram 2 years prior did not detect this, although Mikey was having symptoms. As a result Run Safe With Mikey was created, a nonprofit charity raising awareness and the importance of CPR training and providing funding for onsite ambulance services for athletic events.
