Baltimore’s Saint Patrick’s Day 5k is a road race that will be taking place in Patterson Park on Friday,  March 16th, 2018.  The Baltimore Road Runners Club (BRRC) will be hosting this race its second time in 2018.  We hope you celebrate your Irish, or your not so Irish, heritage with us with a run through Baltimore’s most historic park. Feel free to wear your favorite St. Patrick’s Day garb or dress like a leprechaun!  Celebrate the run with beer after the race in the courtyard behind Patterson Park Public Charter School (PPPCS)! It’s Saint Patrick’s Day after all.

Date and Location: March 16, 2018 6:30 PM - Patterson Park - Baltimore, MD

Amenities: All finishers will receive a BRRC themed glass mug and a Shamrock BRRC koozie, as shown above! We will be glad to fill your mug for you at our… 

Post-race Party: Complimentary craft beer (Union Duckpin and Key Brewing Rye Porter) for all 21+ year old participants at our post-race party! We will have live tunes from Basswood from after the race until around 8:30 PM in the courtyard behind Patterson Park Public Charter School. Please bring your ID.

We're also going to have a Pixilated Photo Booth on site so wear your finest St. Paddy's Day gear and get high-quality digital photos sent to your phone right away.

Course: Want to chase a PR? This might be the course for you! This net-downhill, 100% asphalt course drops 40 feet from start to finish and stays on the wider sections of roadway (no vehicles) through Patterson Park. There is one large climb in the 2nd mile but you’re rewarded with a run-by of the Pagoda and a long descent to the Pulaski Monument before finishing. We will have mile marks and split times.

Packet Pickup: On site at the Pavilion (map), on race day only, starting at 5:00 pm.

Parking:  Public on-street parking is free, but limited, around Patterson Park.  More public on-street parking along Linwood Ave and streets north and east of the Park is likely easiest. Participants are encouraged to carpool or take taxis, uber, or lyft.

Race Conditions and Weather Cancelations: The averages in Baltimore on March 16th are a high of 55 and a low of 40. No guarantees, though! Sunset will be at 7:15 PM, guaranteed.  We will run in most weather and race and road conditions.  In the very unlikely event that the race is cancelled for any reason, no refunds are available, sorry.  Cancellations would be posted on www.brrc.com and our facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/groups/baltroadrun/

Top 3 overall male and female - $60, $50, $40

First masters male and female - $50

Double dipping on prize money is allowed.

Men: 5k - Under 16:00 or 10 mile - Under 55:00

Women: 5k - Under 18:30 or 10 mile - Under 63:00

We will also have argyle Saint Patrick’s Day themed socks on

hand to sell for $10 while they last.
